Rehearsals for Puttin on the Ritz (Recreational, Closed, Prep and Pee Wee)

Recreational Dancers, Closed, Preparatory and Pee Wee dancers attend Puttin on the Ritz Rehearsal Dates AND Full Disney Cast Rehearsal Dates. (Read entire page of rehearsals)

What to wear to rehearsals:
  • Black leotard
  • Light suntan or pink tights
  • Capezio Jazz Shoes (tan or black, color for performance TBA)
  • Black jazz shorts may be worn (see dancewear for approved items) 
  • Hair must be pulled back away from face in a high pony tail or bun
Rhythmette, Junior, Senior dancers attend the "Full Disney Cast Rehearsal Dates" and any other rehearsals that may be announced.  You do not attend Puttin on the Ritz Rehearsals at this time.  You are in Puttin on the Ritz, we just do not need you at these first rehearsals.

All CDDS Dancers Level 1* and up in the 2019-2020 Season are invited!
Deadline to register:  May 4, 2019.  Minimum number of dancers needed for the trip to happen!
Trip will be confirmed May 6, 2019.
Disney age requirements:
  • Performance:  7 and up by July 6, 2020
  • Parade and Performance:  10 and up by July 6, 2020
*CDDS enrollment requirements:
  • Level 1 & 2:  Must enroll in BOTH Ballet and Jazz/Tap by August 31.
  • Level 3 & 4:  Must enroll in BOTH Contemporary and Jazz by August 31.
  • 2018-2019 Primary dancers will receive placement in April 2019. Note age requirement.
  • Company Dancers:  Preparatory, Pee Wee, Rhythmette, Junior, Senior are invited!
  • Recreational Dancers perform in ONE routine in performance.  Company Dancers minimum one.
  • Everyone traveling with the Studio must book through this package to be a part of the performance.
  • Rehearsals begin January 2020.
  • Transportation to and from Orlando is not included in the package.  Make your own travel arrangements.
  • If we do not have enough dancers by May 4, 2019, your deposit will be returned.
  • Do not book your flight until the trip is confirmed May 6, 2019! 
  • There are THREE Rates (read all details attached):
  • Performer-includes parade costume, shoes and tights from Dance the World, transportation to and from performance, rehearsal and more
  • Family and Friends-anyone traveling with the Performer, only available through studio group
  • Family and Friends SSO (Stage Show Only)-add $95 to the F&F rate, write SSO in memo  (This option is not on the form, it’s for 7-9 year olds only in performance)
  • $15 per person CDDS Trip Registration Fee for all dancers and travelers due May 6, 2019.  Non-refundable
  • $140 Costume Fee for Recreational Dancers and current Preparatory dancers due May 6, 2019.  Non-refundable
  • Registration and costumes fees will be charged to your card on file when trip is confirmed May 6.
What to do next:
  • Read ALL details of the trip on attached form
  • Fill out reservation form, write check to Dance the World ($95/pp deposit) submit to CDDS office by May 4,2019.
  • Enroll dancers and travelers in the Event “Disney 2020”, May 4, 2019, in your studio account. 
Dance for Art hopes to give all dancers who fundraise a stipend towards their trip based on previous fundraising.

Behavior Clause:  All travelers must meet criteria required of a CDDS client and follow our philosophies and expectations.  Any behavior that reflects poorly on CDDS will be cause for dismissal from the trip and the Studio.  Dance the World is a premier travel company specific for performance groups and should be treated with the utmost respect and consideration at all times.  Policies and rules are implemented for the ease and flow of the majority group and personal exceptions cannot always be made available.  This performance package is a separate booking from a Disney booking.   Any questions should be kindly directed toward Dance the World.  Any mistreatment of CDDS, Dance the World or Disney staff is strictly prohibited.

Do I have to purchase the meal plan?

Do I have to attend the optional Gala?
No, but it sure does look fun!

My dancer turns 10 soon after July 6, 2020...can he/she perform.
Sorry, no :(  Disney requires birth certificates for all performers.

Can I attend the workshops offered during Celebrity Week?
No, we are not attending that performance week.
