How to get ready for class!
  • For security reasons, Participant Name must be changed to dancers FIRST and LAST NAME in order to be approved in to class from the waiting room. Make sure to change your participant name BEFORE joining class. There are many instructions online on how to do so from various devices. Thank you Google :)
  • See below for props needed for each class.
  • Dress in your CDDS dress code, shoes, and hair pulled back - when dressed like a dancer, you feel like a dancer! Parents, we need your support on this one!
  • Create a safe and clear space in your home that is as distraction free as possible. While we LOVE seeing our dancing fur friends and little siblings, they pull focus from our teachers :)
  • Join FIVE minutes before class begins so you are set up and ready to begin on time. Late entries may not be admitted.
  • Turn your video on to create a "group class" environment. Angle camera so teachers can see dancer’s full body.
  • Adult supervision is required for students under 7 years old - but be sure to let us be the teacher! Adult presence in the household is required for students ages 7 and older – Please stay present with your dancer until class begins to make sure everything is working correctly.
  • Everyone is on mute to avoid technological confusion.
A few things to try if having tech issues:
  • Move closer to WiFi source in your house
  • Disconnect unused devices from WiFi
  • Log out of Zoom and log back in
  • Restart your device
  • Check your Zoom audio settings that audio is turned on to the correct speakers
