Acro I & II 7+ years old with 1 year minimum Acro experience, see pre requisites
These mixed-level intensive classes build strength, flexibility, agility and confidence in Acro skills. Throughout the session, students will work on various skills based on level: Acro I - handstands, front/back walkover, cartwheels, etc., Acro II - aerial, handsprings, and more advanced acro skills. Students should expect a hard working class!
  • Prequisites: Acro 1 - Pushup backbend without a spot, Acro II - Front/Back walkover without a spot
  • What to Wear: Girls: Solid Black leotard, pink/tan transition tights, Hair pulled back securely away from face (no scrunchies), Barefoot.
    Boys: White T-shirt, Black athletic pants, Hair pulled away from face, Barefoot
Acro for Dancers Minimum 1 year Acro experience required.
This mixed-level intensive class builds strength, flexibility, agility and confidence in Acro skills that benefit a dancer. Each week will focus on various skills that are utilized in dance.  Dancers will practice transitions of acro skills and technique in to dance, such as: Backbends, Cartwheels, Handstands, Splits and more. Students should expect a hard working class!
Ages vary by class, with 1 year minimum Acro experience.
What to Wear:
Girls: Solid Black leotard, pink/tan transition tights, Hair pulled back securely away from face (no scrunchies), Barefoot.
Boys: White T-shirt, Black athletic pants, Hair pulled away from face, Barefoot

Adaptive Dance RhythmWorks, Ages 5-12
Rhythm Works Integrative Dance is a specialized, but inclusive, dance and rhythm program designed for children Ages 7-11 with individual learning differences and special needs. The program uses evidence-based therapeutic practices to achieve developmental goals. To our students, it’s a fun and exciting activity that provides participation and socialization opportunities. Staff is certified to teach this amazing program.  Therapist or parent can participate with student if needed.
Maximum 6 students per class.

What to Wear: Comfort is key. Please wear clothing that is comfortable, that the child can freely move, bend and stretch. Students may be barefoot, wear dance shoes or sneakers with clean soles.

Adult Ballet, Adult
This is a ballet class for adults who have some dance experience and are interested in revisiting the beautiful art of ballet.
Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms. Classes begin at the barre where students perform movement sequences to develop strength, coordination, balance and proper alignment. These skills are reinforced through center and across the floor combinations. Classical technique and vocabulary are taught.
What to Wear: Ballet shoes and hair pulled back. Whatever athletic clothing you feel comfortable moving around freely in; from traditional ballet clothes (ie. leotard and tight) to athletic leggings and tops.

Hippity Hop, Ages 5-7
A hip hop class designed for ages 5-7. Class begins with a warmup, progressions, and students learn a combination with introductory hip hop moves that will build each week. Movement games and props are used each week. Music and lyrics appropriate for their age group. Most of all...this class is fun!!
What to Wear::If dancer has another class before or after hippity hop, their leotard and tights should be worn with sneakers that were not worn outside. Dancers may add a T-shirt for the “cool” factor. If only attending hippity hop, wear any clothes comfortably moving in with sneakers that were not worn outside. No jeans, or loose fitting clothes

Tumbling/Stretch & Wiggle, Ages 3-5
Potty trained
A 45 minute class introducing basic acrobatic skills to our youngest dancers.  This class will build strength, flexibility, coordination, balance and confidence.  Dancers will stretch, learn acrobatic poses, tumble, climb through obstacle courses and get their wiggles out in a safe space with our certified instructors.
Placement for this class is by age, no previous skills required. Must be 100% potty trained, Ages 3-5.
What to Wear (Same as Preschool/Primary)
Girls: Capezio short sleeve light blue leotard and pink transition tights, Hair pulled back securely away from face, Barefoot.
Boys: White T-shirt, Black athletic pants, Hair pulled away from face, Barefoot

Pound Rockout Workout, Adults 18+

Yoga, Adult 18+
This Monday Morning class moves at a calm to uplifting pace to start the week with a happy and feel-good mind and body. Breathe, stretch, and move with more awareness and ease. Focus is on enhancing endurance, balance, strength and flexibility, while flowing from pose to pose. This is a great class for beginners and is accessible to students of all levels. Class offers various modifications and use of props. The room is comfortably warm.

ONLINE KIDS YOGA - These classes are more than "more screen time" - Yoga for kids nurtures social-emotional skills, encourages self-expression and improves body awareness, strength, flexibility, and coordination. Please sign up by Monday 2/22 for this class to confirm!

Yoga, Ages 4-6
This energy-releasing class encourages self-expression, body awareness and focus through Yoga practice and play.  Young Yogis will have fun as they build strong and healthy bodies, social, sensory and motor skills.

Yoga, Ages 7-11
Improve strength, flexibility, and coordination. Developing Yogis will learn how to focus and center themselves with various breathing and energy releasing techniques. This class encourages self-expression as well as building social skills. They will also learn self-respect and respect for others with the practice of fun and challenging poses, partner and group poses, yoga games, breathing and basic anatomy.

Zumba, Ladies 21+
This FUN, EMPOWERING, ENERGIZING class for Ladies is all about having a good time! We are proud to have two certified Zumba teachers on our staff to run this class at CDDS. This class is open to all levels of Zumba Mamis :) Don't be discouraged if you "aren't a dancer". You can "step-touch" the whole time and come for the good energy and good time :)  
Women ages 18+.
Children may not be left unattended in Studio or sit in dance room while parent is in class.
What to Wear: Any comfortable athletic clothes. Sneakers NOT worn outside, to protect Studio floor.
Safety at the studio is extremely important at CDDS. Children may not be left unattended or sit in class while adults are in class. We would love to help accommodate families, but with so many families, and so many individual circumstances, it is impossible.  We thank you for your support and understanding in this delicate matter.
