Hippity Hop Crew 2026-2027
HIPPITY HOP CREW (HHC) Ages 6-11, Fridays 7:15-8:15pm @ Warwick Studio (1945 Warwick Ave)
A fun, high-energy hip hop performance team led by Miss Rachel! Hippity Hop Crew is designed for dancers who have a passion for hip hop, performing, and being part of a team.
Auditions take place during classes in September 2026 . If accepted, dancers participate through the June Recital and must re-audition each season. Dancers are evaluated on rhythm, performance quality, stage presence, ability to learn choreography quickly, focus, attitude, and overall readiness for performance opportunities.
Hippity Hop Crew members perform in the Holiday Show, June Recital, and various community events throughout the season. Dancers should have strong stage presence, be able to learn routines quickly, and be prepared to focus, work hard, support one another, and have fun!

• Weekly Hip Hop Class
• Warm-Up, Strength & Conditioning
• Hip Hop Progressions & Combinations
• Acro, Tumbling & Tricks
• Multiple routines learned throughout the season
• Strongly encouraged to take an Acrobatics class
ATTENDANCE & COMMITMENT
• Good attendance is expected.
• More than three absences may affect status in HHC and performance eligibility.
• Dancers must be available for mandatory performance weekends: the Holiday Show in December and the June Recital.
• Additional performance opportunities may be offered throughout the season. Participation is required, not optional, unless important school or family event conflicts.
DRESS CODE
•Comfortable, appropriate clothing that allows for full range of movement.
• Clothing must allow dancers to comfortably and appropriately perform straddles, tumbling, and other floor work.
•Shorts must be long enough and fitted appropriately to provide proper coverage during movement and floor work
.•Shoes: Solid black clean indoor sneakers that have never been worn outside or cleaned and designated indoor sneaker. This is very important for sanitary and safety reasons, as well as to protect our dance floors.
•Solid black sneakers required for performances.

•Fitted or loose T-shirt/tank top + athletic shorts, leggings, joggers, sweatpants or bike shorts with appropriate coverage
•Oversized T-shirt + fitted shorts/leggings underneath
•Sweatshirt or hoodie over tank/t shirt+ joggers/leggings
•The above should go over leotard & tights if wearing that in previous class.
PERFORMANCES
• All dancers perform in the Holiday Show and June Recital.
• Select dancers may be cast in additional community performances throughout the season, such as seasonal festivals, city tree lightings, and other special events.
• Community performance casts vary based on artistic and logistical needs. Not all dancers will be selected for every performance opportunity.
• Dancers enrolled in multiple classes may perform in different Holiday Show or Recital performances than their other classes and may be required to participate in multiple shows.
FEES
• Registration Fee: $30 (If HHC is the student's only class. One registration fee covers all enrolled classes.)
• Monthly Tuition: $85 (Not eligible for multi-class tuition discount rates.)
• Dance For Art Acceptance Fee: $10 (Due upon acceptance.)
• Warm-Up Jacket Fee: TBD (Approximately $130). Due September 30. Account will be automatically charged.
• Recital Costume Fee: $100. Due October 15. Account will be automatically charged.
Dance For Art, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, provides borrowed costumes for the Holiday Show routine and select community performances, as well as staffing, event coordination, and additional rehearsals throughout the season. HHC students are expected to participate in DFA fundraising efforts throughout the season, including the annual Fall Snacks & Sweets Fundraiser.
