Warwick Winter Parade

Note:
What to Wear:
- Closed Class, Preparatory, Pee Wee, Hippity Hop Crew and Level 4/5 dancers are invited to perform!
- Parade starts at 10:00am Veterans Memorial Drive/Pleasant Street (near the Honey Dew Donuts) ending at Warwick City Hall. 2/3 of a mile long.
- A fun routine is taught in classes. No additional rehearsal.
- Acro 1 dancers attend Acro 2 1:15-2:15pm on 12/6/25 and can get ready at the studio afterwards.
- There is a Winter Festival until 3pm in and around City Hall.

- Canceling: If at 7pm the night prior, there is a 50% or greater chance of rain or snow, or if black ice is expected from earlier precipitation, we will not be participating in the parade. We will notify you by 7:00 PM on Friday, December 5 if we need to cancel.
Arrival/Pickup Details:
- Arrival: 9:15am Jersey Mikes Subs 1350 Greenwich Ave, Warwick RI
- Parents drop off dancers and meet us at the end. Parents cannot join or walk along the route and must pick up at the end. Parade staff will enforce this.
- Dancers leave all belongings with parents.
- If a dancer arrives and is not dressed warmly, they cannot participate.
- Use the bathroom before drop off. There are no bathroom stops along the parade route.
- Pickup: 11:00am (approximately) Parents pick up dancer immediately following the end of the parade, on the side of City Hall. Approximaely
- Parade length is under 1 mile.. We don't know exactly how long it will take us to march- see you at the end!
- The end of any parade can feel hectic. Students will line up together on the grass beside City hall. Parents please check out dancer with staff before leaving.
- Staff will stay with all dancers until everyone is picked up.

- Illness/Injury: If a dancer is starting to come down with something, still recovering from being sick or injury, or has any kind of injury, they cannot participate in the parade. Email now if they cannot attend so we do not expect them.
- Parking/Road closures: Roads close at Time TBD. Parking is available at TBD
- Temperature: Yes, it will be cold. It is VERY important to layer and dress warm. If a dancer arrives without wearing warm layers we will not take them with us. We will be moving and dancing and keeping warm along the route, and having fun :)
- Bathroom: There is no bathroom along the route. Go before you come and use the restroom inside Smithfield High School quickly right when we get there.

- Check email/text/social media for arrival/pickup updates
- If you have epi pen or inhaler, but in ziplock labeled with your name and keep in your pocket.
- Do not bring anything else with you. If you are driving, keep car keys in your pocket.
What to Wear:
- DRESS WARM! Layer up!
- A Santa hat or red winter hat
- Black leggings (fleece suggested). Wear tights and layers under for warmth.
- Any all black winter outerwear jacket over warm layers - It's cold!
- Red Winter Accessories (minimal logos/designs please. Can be CDDS logo):
- Red gloves, red scarf (short just around neck, not long past waist)
- Red calf-high socks and/or red legwarmers (solid red, not decorated, wear outside of leggings).
- Optional: Red or white ear warmer headband can be worn under the Santa hat for extra warmth.
- Black sneakers. (don't have to be 100% solid black but minimal other colors please.)
- Full performance eye makeup (no false eyelashes)
- Performance Earrings:
- Closed Class/Preparatory/Pee Wee/Hippity Hop Crew: 10mm double ring rhinestone earrings,
- Level 4/5: 12mm double ring rhinestone earrings
- Low bun, center part.
