Company Holiday Show Information

Company Holiday Show Timeline
Sunday, December 17, 2023 @ McVinney Auditorium, Providence RI 
Show 1- 11:00am, Show 2- 1:30pm, Show 3- 4:00pm

Dancers should be well-rested and NOT have sleepovers with dance friends the night before. Get a good night’s sleep in your own bed and give your best performance. This is what you’ve been working for!

Check-In/Dismissal

• Closed Class, Preparatory and Pee Company parents check-in dancer in lobby to receive bracelet for pickup at the end of their last show.
• Rhythmette, Junior and Senior Company students check-in themselves in the Lobby. Parents drop off and do not receive a bracelet.
• Rhythmette demonstrators w/ siblings in Show 1 can help backstage in Show 1, if not watching w/ family.
• Parents may not enter backstage area.
• Dancers are not permitted to leave the building  between Tech Rehearsal/Shows.
• Company dancers will be dismissed through the audience after their last show. 
  • Closed Class, Preparatory and Pee Wee dismissal following Show 2.
  • Rhythmette, Junior, Senior Company dismissal following Show 3.
  • If they have family members attending other shows, dancers will come out to see them in the audience and may not leave the auditorium (do not go into lobby).
  • Clean up your space and pack your things after your last routine. 
  • *CDDS Staff must approve your area before you leave.*
• Return DFA costume at your next class. Keep garment bag unzipped and air out your costume at home.

Arrival & Rehearsal:
8:15am   Junior, Senior Company and Acro Specialty arrive, check-in at lobby, report to dressing rooms.

• Arrive in full stage hair & makeup (no lipstick), tights, camisole, long sleeve black company leotard,  black leggings, and CDDS warm-up jacket.
• Quickly set up your space in your dressing room and report to stage with routine dance shoes on.

8:30-10:00am  Junior, Senior and Acro Specialty Warm-Up and Tech Rehearsal on stage
9:30am   Pee Wee, Preparatory, and Closed Class arrive, check-in at lobby and report to dressing rooms.

• Arrive in full stage hair & makeup (no lipstick), tights, camisole, long sleeve black company leotard, black leggings, and CDDS warm-up jacket.
• Quickly set up your space in your dressing room and wait for instruction. 

9:45-10:30am   Pee Wee, Preparatory, and Closed Class Warm-Up and Tech Rehearsal
10:20am Demonstrators report to lobby to bring dancers backstage. Warm-up jacket & black leggings.
10:45am All dancers in dressing rooms, ready in first costume.

12:15pm Remaining Rhythmette Company arrive, check-in at lobby and report to dressing rooms.

• Arrive in full stage hair & makeup (no lipstick), tights, camisole, long sleeve black company leotard, black leggings, and CDDS warm-up jacket.
• Quickly set up your space in your dressing room and report to stage with routine dance shoes on.

12:30-1:10pm Rhythmette Warm-up and Rockin' On Top of the World blocking rehearsal on stage
1:10pm Hippity Hop Crew blocking rehearsal on stage

Put on black leggings and warm-up jacket after last routine for Parade of Dancers.

After Show 2: Closed Class, Preparatory and Pee Wee dismissed
After Show 3: Rhythmette, Junior, Senior Company dismissed

• Company Red Lipstick: MAC-Red/Russian Red, Sephora brand cream liquid lipstick-Always Red
• Foundation, blush, cheekbone highlight, brown eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, lip liner
