PVD Fest

Saturday, September 7, 2024 @ 12pm on Snow Street Dance Stage, Downtown Providence

Carolyn Dutra Dance Studio has performed at six PVD Fests! We love being part of this Rhode Island community arts event!

Performer Info:

Contact the Studio Google Line if you need any assistance 401-288-1232. This line is only active 1 hour before the performance and during pickup.
We perform sprinkle or shine. PVD Fest determines if the festival is canceled due to weather. We will keep updates on email, text and social media.
Rain Date: September 8th (Time, location and if we will participate TBD)
All dancers wear a camisole under costume. There will be a 10x10 EZ Up with walls for dancers to change.

COMPANY DANCERS ARRIVAL DETAILS:

Dancing In The Street & Gia- Meet at stage at 11am for rehearsal. All other Company dancers arrive for 11:30am.
Arrive wearing full stage makeup, hair in slicked back low bun, rhinestone earrings, first costume (show order below), camisole, warmup jacket and black leggings on over. Do not wear dance shoes on ground.
Dancers in multiple routines bring: small tote bag with costume, shoes inside and securely sealed water bottle inside (do not bring a large bag) .
Leave other belongings with parents including a change of clothes if you want to stay for the festival.
Do not eat in costume (ever).

PRESCHOOL/PRIMARY DANCERS ARRIVAL DETAILS:

Meet at stage at 11:45am.
Arrive wearing full stage makeup, hair in neat low bun, costume. Put on dance shoes upon arrival.
Parents hold street shoes, water bottle and belongings.
Bring a change of clothes if you want to stay for the festival.
Do not eat in costume (ever).

Stage & Parking

CDDS performs at Snow Street Dance Stage.
Bathrooms are nearby. Please go before you arrive at the stage. There is no bathroom available for dancers during the performance.
Cheapest parking is at Providence Place Mall.
Many downtown streets are blocked off.

Cast & Rehearsals

Attendance is mandatory for participation if any reblocking is done. Good attendance to all rehearsals is necessary to remain in a routine.
Company Dress Rehearsal: Thursday September 5th 4:30-6pm Warwick Studio. Arrive in first costume, hair done, earrings, makeup not required, camisole, bring black leotard and leggings and all dance shoes.
