Recital Schedule

East Providence High School June 22-23, 2024

• Enter the door on the right side of the building.
• Write your dancers name in all of shoes and costumes.

• Hippity Hop Crew Arrive: Saturday June 21 12:15pm warmup jacket/ black leggings on over first costume stage ready (no lipstick - bring it).
• Honors Society Arrive: Sunday June 22 9:30am in tights, camisole, black leotard, warmup jacket/leggings, hair and makeup done (no lipstick - bring it).

Step 1- Get ready at home

• Write dancer name in everything-shoes, costumes, accessories.
• Pack all costumes, accessories, and shoes in a small bag/extra large ziploc/ bag it came in with dancer name written on outside.
  • Pack epipen in small bag with dancer's name and allergies on it. (Staff have full list of student allergies that parents added to their account.)
  • Level 3/4 : Bring costumes in a garment bag
• Do not pack ANYTHING-no snacks or water bottles. Shows are short. We have water if needed.
• Put on makeup, tights, first costume, with dance shoes on. (Order below)
• Use bathroom at home and upon arrival if needed.
• Leave extra time for traffic and parking

Items Not Allowed: If dancers arrive with these items a CDDS staff member will remove them or dancer may not be able to perform. CDDS and EP High School are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

• Underwear: Tights are considered an undergarment, underwear should not be worn.
• Jewelry: Remove earrings before arrival to avoid dancers getting upset. Based on our experience, this is key.  If earrings cannot be removed, cover them with a piece of band aid before arrival.  If a dancer arrives with earrings, a CDDS staff member will remove or cover them with a bandaid.
• Temporary Tattoos, Colored Hair Dye, Hair Beads, Nail Polish
• Shiny Tights or Pantyhose: Dancers must wear approved dance tights listed in dress code.
• Leave games, toys and personal belongings at home.
• No snacks or water bottles. Shows are short! We have water if needed.

Step 2- Arrival at East Providence High School

• Dancers arrive 30 minutes before your show in full stage makeup & hair done (see website), first costume (see below), other costumes in a small dance bag/extra large ziploc bag/bag costume came in, with dancer name written on the outside.
• Remove street shoes (have dance shoes on), coats, do last minute touch ups etc. before going to the check-in table.  REMOVE ALL JEWELRY AT HOME-this is so important to do at home so dancers don't get upset here. 
•  One parent Check-In dancer and receive a wristband required to pick up dancer after the show.  (Please put the wristband on yourself.  Do not wait for staff to put it on you.)
• Give a last hug before CDDS staff and Demonstrators escort dancers to Student Commons Dressing Room :)

During the Show

• Dancers remain backstage with CDDS staff and volunteers (all submitted a current BCI) who change dancers in/out of their other costumes. Dancers wear a camisole and tights and are never nude.
• Students cannot be dismissed early and must remain for the entire duration of the show.
• Photo/Video are prohibited during the show. Keep cell phones & cameras away at all times. Ushers will ask you to put your devices away if they are out, please prevent disruption. There is a video for purchase. Enjoy the moment!

After the Show:

• Please remain in your seats during the entire Parade of Dancers (final presentation of dancers at end of show) until the curtain is closed.  
  • Give everyone the opportunity to see their dance one more time and dancers need a moment to return to their spots in the dressing room.
• One parent with wristband pick up dancer in the Student Commons Dressing Room (down the hallway behind the check-in table). 
• All other guests should exit the auditorium.
• We ask for your patience during dismissal for a safe and orderly exit.
• Take a photo infront of the CDDS Step & Repeat on your way out and tag @cddsdancer on Instagram!
