Event: DSSRI Down Syndrome Awareness Walk (formerly Buddy Walk) & Family Fun Festival
Date: Sunday, October 12, 2025 (rain or shine)
Time: 10am - 2pm See your time and role assignment below
Location: Belmont Park, 54 1st Ave, Warwick, RI 02888 (right off Elmwood Ave) *New location in Warwick.
What to Wear: Red CDDS t-shirt, CDDS warmup jacket, black leggings, sneakers. Hair slick middle part low ponytail, performance rhinestone earrings, some makeup and any extra sparkle and shine you want to add :).

• If you don't have a warmup jacket reply to this email by Friday 10/10 and we will bring one for you to borrow.
• Characters arrive in costume, unless raining bring in garment bag and change in tent upon arrival. Full stage makeup (eyelashes, red lipstick), rhinestone earrings, hair (Rockettes low bun, Anna pigtail braids, Elsa "Elsa braid"), tights, camisole, character shoes, no colored nail polish.

Parents Drop Off/Pick Up:

• Drop off 10am at Dance Squad tent. Board members arrive 9:45am to Registration Table.
• Pickup dancer at the the Dance Squad tent at 12pm or 1:45pm. We don't know exactly when the event will end so we ask that you be there for 1:45pm.

Phones should not be out or used during the event. Keep off and zipped in your warmup jacket. They are only for meeting your parent at pickup. Be present and engaging at the event.

Be ready to smile, interact with kids, families, take lots of photos.  Remember, you are representing the Carolyn Dutra Dance Studio and could be in LOTS of pics.  Pose properly, smile big, make sure your makeup is on point :)
This can count as 1 hour of community service.
