2025 Banquet Showcase/Honors Info:

Showcase dancers arrive 30 minutes before the Banquet you perform in. All Honors Society dancers arrive 10:20am
  • Some routines perform in both banquets - see below
  • Dancers wear a camisole under costume because changing for Grand March/Showcase.
  • Bring grand march/showcase costume/grad senior outfit in a small bag. 
  • If in both banquets bring a healthy, nut-free, not messy lunch for between banquets and a sealable water bottle in a small bag.
  • Select Honors society members assist in 11am Banquet Grand March: Sadie Mitchell, Natalee Crum, Lily Kelliher, Alexis Amitrano, Alexis Langlais, Thea Cleofas, Sophia Ferraro, Eleanor Schrag, Mila Longo. Arrive dressed for Grand March.
  • See changing notes below. Please be responsible for yourself to be ready.

10am Banquet 
  • Recreational & select Honors Society members (listed above) arrive 10:30am dressed for Grand March and change into Honors costume during Banana Split club  segment
  • All other Honors dancers arrive in first showcase routine costume stage ready. Bring Grand March outfit in a small bag. Remain upstairs quietly, away from balcony, until called down to lobby during Banana Split Club segment.
Showcase Part 1 (After medals/trophies segment)
  1. A Million Dreams - Gwenyth, Sagan, Olivia, Alexandria, Avery, Emily 
  2. 12 Step Mix - Sophia Braga, Chloe Wilcox, Madelyn Amitrano, Gabriela Paulino, Mila Longo, Lealise Hughes, Carly Iacobucci (change into honors after you perform) 
Showcase Part 2 (End of Banquet )
  1. Honors Society Routine
  • Eat lunch and change into Grand March outfit and be in lobby for 12:30pm Grand March rehearsal in Grand March outfit.

12pm Banquet 
  • Arrive 12:30pm in Grand March outfit for Grand March rehearsal (if not in 11am banquet)
  • Change into first showcase costume AFTER receiving your medal/trophy - exit stage and go upstairs to change away from balcony.
Showcase Part 1  (After medals/trophies, CDDS News, NHSDA Induction segments)
  1. Honors Society Routine (Graduating Seniors change into nice outfit after you perform and sit in reserved seats)

Please note:
  • Keep practicing together frequently. Apply the critiques said to you at the audition.
  • Studio space available to rehearse on your own before your Company classes: Mon 4-4:30pm Closed Class Warwick, Tue 3:30-4pm Rhy/Jr/Sr Warwick, Wed 4:20-4:30pm Pee Wee Smithfield, Thursday 3:30-4pm Rhy/Jr/Sr Warwick, Fri 4-4:15pm Preparatory Warwick, Fri 4-4:30pm Pee Wee Warwick.

  • If you are are asked to perform in both showcases (TBD as of 1/10/25), dancers do NOT need to purchase a ticket to the 10am Banquet.

Student Showcase Audition

Student Showcase is held at the  CDDS/DFA Banquet
Sunday, February 9 at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet, Cranston RI

Dancers who have been at CDDS for 5 years or more are invited to audition a group student choreographed routine! Here is your chance to get together with your dance friends and show us your creative side. We want to see what inspires YOU in dance! Students should get together in small groups on their own time and explore the choreographic and team work processes. Have fun with it! This is supposed to be a fun time with dance friends :)

Submit entries  by December 10, 2024.
Submit entries ASAP as they must be approved to avoid duplicates and appropriate song selection.

Auditions: Friday, January 10, 2025, 4pm @ Warwick Studio
Auditions are closed to CDDS staff only. Dancers dismissed as they audition. See below for details.

Audition Requirements:
  • All dancers in the group must be CDDS dancers of 5 years or more.
  • Groups of 2 or more
    • Company dancers may audition staff choreographed specialty routines (ie. solo/duo, etc.).
  • All dancers must be present at audition.
  • Songs must be no longer than 1 minute, 30 seconds and appropriate for our family event. (Look up the lyrics and figure out the message/meaning of the song.)
  • Students can only audition one routine. (Honors Society dancers with a staff choreographed specialty routines may audition both.)
  • Wear costume, hair style and makeup to audition as you would for the performance.
  • Routine must be complete, well-rehearsed and performance ready by audition day.
  • We cannot accept all routines due to time and artistry of the showcase.
  • Select Company dancers may perform in both banquets.

Honors Society:
  • Honors Society performs a student choreographed routine.
  • May perform in both banquets.
